So far I didn't need to write a post because reading the info/how-tos only helped me a lot but I still cant resolve three issues<BR/>1. compiz/beryl etc are not working even after going through the threads on them<BR/>2. Keyboard Fn+[n] keys are not responding; I tried to hook to external monitor/projector but ended with a lower resolution only.<BR/>3. wireless... b43* not working<BR/>Please note I have installed ATI driver, got control center running.<BR/><BR/>Would anyone please help me, mainly for the looks. ;-)<BR/>Regards.<BR/>Sonjoy.<BR/><BR/>NB: Oh how to get kde themes work. my (Administration mode) button is grayed out under Monitor and Display section. My buddy told me with the turion64 to use the 64-bit version but after reading comments left in different sections im confused. Seems like you know a whole lot about this so i am going to ask your advice. I'm so glad I found it. I was a complete linux newbie when I started out a few months ago and thanks to this blog I've been able to configure my 1501 exactly how I wanted.<BR/><BR/>I also wanted to give back a little and let you know that compiz-fusion is now out and is available through trevinos repository. Instructions on how to install it can be found here:<BR/><BR/>http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=481314<BR/><BR/>I've been using it for a few days now and it's relatively stable. There ARE a few glitches, but no more than what I experienced with Beryl. It does everything Beryl does plus more (Compiz fusion is a merger of compiz and beryl). It also runs on XGL!!<BR/><BR/>If you use emerald you have to upgrade to the latest version (0.3.0) in order to get it to work with compiz (although it works fine without emerald installed).<BR/><BR/>The only extra step I would add to the how-to is to create a launcher for the command to launch it. It's definately worthwhile checking it out. I have gotten suspend to work-- but now it's less than perfect.<BR/><BR/>Anyway, did you have to do anything to get suspend to work after you installed the ATI driver?
